On Planning
if there's one thing i hate, its planning something and things wont go as planned. nothing can be more fraustrating than a well-planned whatever then things go wrong in the last minute... then again, what if you didn't make a plan??? hmmm.... can't tell... really.. as i always say - better to live believing then die finding out what you believed in never existed than to live not believing then die finding out there exist what we refused to believe.
for me it goes both way... i had instances of planning and felt good that i anticipated things and was prepared for glitches... but there was moments of recklessness that resulted in a pleasing, self-gratifying (bragging rights- ika nga), fulfilling end-of-the-day huwalaaah... hahaha...
but still i say - PLAN!!! make one, make two, hell make three... with all the uncertainty... a plan always mitigates the risk and minimizes exposure. but still history always is on my side when i let go... call a time out and completely disregard the potential disasters or what have you and still have total fun and satisfaction. Spontaneity might be the operating word.
but some things are not supposed to be left to the "bahala na" mentality. like my future, and for the first time in my life at a relatively old adult stage of 28... im investing in a bond. yup, a simple interest bond offering from ALI. the homestarter bond. geesh sounds like homestarrunner... click that link in my sidebar - the weird-looking, half-naked, head-covered, nipples-sandpapered, hand-glove covered small guy and you'll know who homestarrunner is.
now going back, the bond allow me to save 5K a month an at the end of 3 years use this as a DP to an ALI project and huwalaaaah the value of my bond increases by 10% more. not bad for a start. future seems to be brighter... i think i'll soon be needing a home. A house and lot or a condo in makati.. hmmmmm...
